| KADEN EFFECTS TOUCAN TONE.
Built around the JRC4558 op amp, the Toucan is an overdrive pedal
with very similar characteristics to a rather well known overdrive on
the commercial market. However, it has some vast improvements over it's
forefather. A germanium diode has been added to provide asymetrical
clipping, creating a tube-like quality which helps retain a more
transparent sound for your guitar. It also has slightly more crunch at
higher gain settings with pronounced low-mids to give a fuller,
punchier tone. Even at lower drive settings, the Toucan is an excellent
choice for a front end boost to your effects chain or amplifier.
Equipped with true-bypass switching to help preserve your tone.

I
like all of my Kaden effects (I have 3 right now), and this is a super
cool pedal. Nice warm overdrive, not too brittle and harsh. I like this
pedal as my distortion is a bit more subtle (I tend to use volume
rather than crunch) and this pedal is very responsive to that. True
bypass switching also, so your tone isn't diminished.
