The Rust Driver was designed to recreate the classic sound of a
late 60�s Marshall Plexi running at full bore grind. Its carefully
selected components allow the Rust Driver to faithfully perform this
function with any amplifier, at any volume level. The result is a
commanding guitar tone with a tight, thick bottom and extremely low
signal to noise ratio. A single knob controls output level and gain
while three switchable EQ curves offer plentiful tonal options without
compromising your guitar sound. When you need that �Plexi Sound�
regardless of the playing situation, the Rust Driver is an affordable,
reliable, portable alternative to the real thing.

is where this little pedal has grown to me. I just can�t say enough
good of it. So sweet, so fat, so powerful, so full of overtones,
feedbacks beutifully, so plexi..very progressive...it�s like playing
downstreams the winded strings if you know what I mean, answers TOTALLY
to what you do...just can�t give it anything but a big 10.

It
always seems that if you love tube amps you need to crank the amp to
get the rocking overdriven tone and often it's too loud for practice
and having peaceful relations with neighbors and family! Cranking a 50
or 100w is definately out of the question too. This is the beauty of
the Rust driver! I can play my tube amps quiet and use the Rust Driver
to get that cranked Marshall sound.
This
pedal produces a great over the top distortion. The tone is smooth
meaning each individual note picked has a smooth creamy distortion
attached to it. It does have the Marshall sound pretty much. I think
this pedal is among the best I've heard that gives a nice creamy smooth
distortion. BTW--The Rust driver plays very well with Fender tube
amps. It does the trick very well and is much cheaper than a good
vintage Marshall head!
