If you can't afford a high end high gain amp and have a small amp with
a good clean channel this pedal will make you sound like you have a
high dollar distortion monster amp. This pedal is THE distortion pedal.
Let me put it this way. It has the perfect gain structure and
saturation and sounds as good if not better than the lead channels on
all of my high gain amps (5150, JSX, 5150 combo, Boogie Studio Pre,
Marshall TSL..... need I go on) It really is that good. It would
behoove anybody who loves QUALITY high gain tones to purchase this
pedal. The pick attack is absolutely perfect. Your fingers just melt
into the strings.

I have been looking for the perfect distortion pedal for about a year
now. This pedal is about as close as I have found so far. The gain that
this pedal produces is incredible. It produces enough gain on it's own
to use as a seperate distortion channel for heavey metal. Using in
front of a dirty amp as a boost is possible but you have to dial the
amp gain waaay back or else it is just too much. By itself on a clean
channel is where this thing sounds best. The true bypass is great, no
sign of it in the signal chain at all when off. The tone controls allow
a wide variety of heavey sounds. The bottom is tight and the highs are
articulate. Nice pick attack as well. It sounds very Mesa Boogie like
as far as gain character goes but also has a marshall like sizzle. The
scoop control really changes the tone with small moves of the dial. Can
get noisy at high settings but for the amount of gain it produces it's
not bad. Chords and leads both sound incredibly fat.
