It is a
simulation of what an older, smaller lower wattage Fender amp (4-15
watts) would sound like, at medium to high volume, such as tweed and
brownface. These amps were (and still are) used live and in the
recording studio as a great "overdrive distortion" amp due to their
ability to break up at fairly low volume. It does a great job in
doing this especially for a pedal! The breakup is fantastic and the
pedal is very versatile. I have not found a bad setting. This is a
great pedal in the respect that a Strat still sounds like a "Strat" the
nuance and character of the single coils still shines through when the
Tweed E. Dog ovedrive is engaged. This is a fantastic achievement for
an overdrive.

This is the
pedal I've been looking for. It's not a high-gain screamer but it nails
the overdriven Fender Tweed-tone without cranking up the volume. I've
been playing many years and am as happy with this pedal as I've been
with any overdrive pedal I've ever tried. If you love Fender
Tweed-tone, this is a real good pedal to check out.
