The sound of
this thing is awsome. I like to use setting C or D on Bite for a really
tight (with the volume on about half) tone running through my 5150 with
it's overdrive on about 3. Playing my '57 strat through alnico V
Setmour Duncan single coil it sounds so colorful and wild in the
overtones while maintaining a super tight low-end and super punchy
midrange. I have read that the 5-way switch selects preset EQ's but it
seems like something else is added to the tone as well. The varyations
in tone are so distinct and natural sounding it is amazing. The snarl
setting is really excellent for clean jazzy leads. The bite is
excellent in front of any overdrive that I could think of seeing that
it works beautifully well with my 5150 on any gain setting or in front
of a Big Muff or both. Can go from mellow bassy clean to shimmering
clean from Muscular low end overdrive to sparkly fenderish overdrive
and everything in between all with appropriate tonal adjustment with
the EQ. Really Great!Overall Rating: 10

I play
everything and this pedal covers it all. It's nice only needing one
guitar and being able to get a ton of great sounds from it all because
of one inexpensive pedal. In all my years (10 to be exact) of playing I
have never purchased a pedal that made me this happy. If someone stole
it I'd buy a new one for sure, no doubt, actually, I am going to start
buying more Snarling Dogs stuff, you can't go wrong and Kenny's got
your back if something does go wrong. I recommend this pedal to anyone
who wants their guitar to sound better, even if you have a Les Paul,
Gibson ES535 or any high priced beauty this pedal will make it shine
more then you would ever expect.
