SNARLING DOGS BLUE DOO.
The Snarling Dogs BLUE DOO pedal was born to serve the blues. A bluesy
6V6 tube sound, juicy, wailing, screams with full-throttled intensity
at all dynamic levels.
We call it a tube distortion emulator
because there are no actual tubes used in this amazing
Overdrive/Distortion pedal. The secret to its fat, lush, creamy sound
is that it is designed to emulate the sound of POWER TUBES being driven
to the max in a high plate voltage amp. A passive tone control allows
for smooth transition between deep blues tones, heavy metal, vintage to
trashy garage band sounds. With true bypass, your guitar maintains its
original tone without coloring the sound. This is an unbelievable
Overdrive pedal. You have to play it to hear and feel the difference.
Do what the bluest do - BLUE DOO.

The pedal sounds great with
the humbuckers. No hum, or extraneous noise. As Stevie Ray pointed out
years ago, these OD pedals are used for a Volume Boost, as much as
anything else. I set both the OD and Gain knobs between 11:00 and 1:00
o'clock, depending on the venue. This adds just a bit of growl to the
existing clean sound. This is key, I believe. If you have a
quality clean sound to start with, then this pedal can color it a bit,
in effect giving you a third channel. This is ideal for playing things
like B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, Z.Z. Hill, or Albert King.

We play mainly Blues/Rock. This
pedal is excellent for it's given application. I've been playing since
the mid '70's, and have owned many OD/Distortion pedals, including a
Boss Heavy Metal, Apollo,(remember those?) DOD FX-50, and an Ibanez
SM-9. Also I have a Snarling Dogs Black Dog, and Tweed E. Dog. I like
the Blue Doo best.

Listen
up! THIS IS A BLUES OD/DISTORTION PEDAL. IT'S PURPOSE IS FOR BLUES, NOT
METAL!!! Don't get me started on this. This pedal gives an awesome warm
overdrive sound. I guess you can get someone elses sound, but aren't
you supposed to find your own? I have gotten SRV sounds out of it. I
have a Jackson PS-4 and it sounds great with this pedal. It is also
good with a Strat. The warmth is unbelievable. No muddiness whatsoever.
It can be a great boost for your tube amp too. It pushes my tube amp to
the edge. You can get a decent distortion sound. It can get noisy at
high volumes, however, it is a distortion pedal.
