PRO TONE MACH II.
The Mach II consists of 2 Thruster circuits, 2 foot switches, 2 LEDs,
and 3 knobs- oh yes folks 3 knobs... all in one little box!
You now have total control over the Mach II's gain stages. In
addition, you also get a Master control that allows you to use it as an
overdrive/distortion unit without changing your signal volume. Stage 1: This gain stage is a regular Thruster... not that there
is anything regular about the Thruster, but you get the idea. Stage 1
has no Master Volume control, it feeds into Channel 2, which makes full
use of the Master Volume control.
Stage 2 and the Master: Stage 2 is made up of the exact circuit as
stage 1, but is fed from the output of Stage 1, and then goes directly
to the Master control. The Master control allows the user to keep the
output volume under control when stages 1 and 2 are set high.
The Master: is operational when both channels are on, or if only
Channel 2 is on. There is no need for it to be active with only Stage 1
active.
Usage Tips: The Mach II provides a total of four volume settings, going from clean to wildly distorted.
Setting 1: The Mach II is TRUE BYPASS so this would be the sound of
just your guitar and amp, both stages of the Mach II are OFF.
Setting 2: Stage 1 is active, giving a beautiful full spectrum boost to your signal without coloration.
Setting 3: Stage 2 is active, Stage 1 is INACTIVE. This
configuration is easy to achieve as both stomp switches are spaced
close enough to easily switch them both at once or to alternate between
the two stages.
Setting 4: Stage 1 and Stage 2 are active sending out a stream of
boosted signal bliss, or loud tonal chaos (which is a good thing).

If
you consider a 10 to be perfect, I do not give 10s where sound quality
is concerned. That being said the Mach II is an Incredibly
versatile tool that sounds Awsome! It has 2 knobs- gain & vol. The
distortion/od/gain will deliver from a barely overdriven sound to very
heavy blues or rock sound and everywhere in between. The volume, sorry
the VOLUME is Insane! If you dime the gain you will not need to put the
volume past 2-3! and that is already Loud! So if your gain is somewhere
around 5-7, which is nice and gritty, your volume can from loud to
louder to really loud. You can use it also as a boost as the gain and
vol are very interactive and they work with each other. Ok the Mach II
is a true bypass pedal so it is transparent when not in use, and even
when on it's on there is not near as much noise as with many other
pedals. This is also an all analog pedal so there is no buzzy solid
state feel. It sounds Very warm and natural as if it can become a part
of your of your guitar or amp. It responds in the same manner to you
guitars volume. If you back off on your volume it cleans up nicely just
as a good tube does. With a battery or adaptor it sounds the same, I
use a visual sound one spot most of the time.
