I
use this pedal as an overdrive, not so much as a booster. It sound
great. The OD is tight to the note, totally transparent (none of the
nuances are lost from my guitars). I have the gain set pretty high, and
still no noise at all. Tried about 10 similar pedals (all very high
end) and couldnt get the sound of this out of my head. You want this
thing!

also have the BB preamp which is running in front of the RC booster, it
is working great for me in this configuration. This pedal is dead quiet
and transparent both on and off. I love the way both the Xotic pedals
respond tho pick attack (dynamics.) The sounds are 1st class. I have a
tendency to run the gains at about 75% up on both these units I like
some grind in my tone. There is not a bad sound in the RC booster. I
don't think it gets much better than this.

I
have had both the RC and BB just a few months now and they are in every
way perfect, solid as a rock. I like the compact size of them and would
not change a thing. Built like little bricks.

I
use this pedal with every guitar I own and it sounds incredible! I have
become addicted to the great tone so much that if I forget to turn it
on I feel like there is something missing in my sound. I have over 18
guitars and I play all of them thru this thing including my acoustics.
It enhances anything I play thru it. The best pedal I have ever
purchased. No matter where you set the knobs it sounds great. I would
call it a tone enhancer. It enhances the the true tone of what ever you
run thru it. I can't say enough of about it. For great tone it is a
must have. I don't give anything a 10 but this one deserves an
11.
