WAMPLER FAUX TAPE ECHO
As close as we could come to a tape echo machine. The Faux Tape Echo is basically the Analog Echo (which is a favorite of many guitarists such as Brad Paisley) crossed with a unique circuit the speeds up and slows down the echos, just like a real tape echo. It isn't just modulating like other 'tape echo' emulation pedals though. Many of them sound like a chorus pedal in the background, while that is a cool sound in itself, that is not a true representation of how a real tape machine generates it's modulation. A tape echo's 'flutter' is created by slightly speeding up and slowing down the recording on the tape. The Faux Tape Echo generates it's flutter and modulation by using the same methodology.
If you are tired of wimpy sterile delay tones or just simply wish that your analog delay could get brighter, the FauxTape Echo is your pedal! While the echoes are created digitally, the base signal of the Faux Echo is all analog and is extremely transparent. The echoes are not sterile and brittle like a digital delay, they are big, full, and FAT.
So if you've always wanted a true tape echo machine but didn't want to spend the money or lug it around, this is the next best thing! Max delay time is 600ms.
