RETRO SONIC PHASER.
The Phaser is based on the classic 4 stage Script circuit with a
few additions for a more versatile pedal. Along with the Rate, the
Retro-Sonic Phaser has a Depth control which allows you to dial in the
intensity of the effect, as well as a level control to match unity
gain, or even provide a little boost if desired. All pedals will have a
matched set of FETs for the best possible phasing experience, and of
course True Bypass is standard.
I am pleased to say that the search for a replacement of the Script
logo mxr phase 90 is over. This retro-sonic phaser sounds just like the
script phase 90. Warm, lush and flows just like you want it to. The
switch on the pedal is great, no noise, when you step on it. The best
part is that you can set it to match the volume of your rig or higher
if you like. You can set it to be way thick or back it off and make it
so you almost don't even know it's on. SWEET!!! The mxr never had this
much freedom. the cool part is it sounds just like the mxr or maybe
even better. I love this thing. It will stay with me a long long time. This pedal is a perfect
replacement of the script logo mxr phase 90.
Ease of Use:

- How easy is it to get a good sound out of it?
- How about Editing patches?
- How is the manual for it (if there is one)?
- Do you know the firmware revision number? Has your unit been upgraded?
As easy as it gets, SPEED to control the speed of the phaser, DEPTH to
control the intensity of the effect, and LEVEL to control the overall
volume of the output. I especially like the DEPTH control (not present
on some other phasers I have owned) which allows the user to dial in
everything from a very subtle phase to a heavy Uni-Vibe type throb. The
LEVEL control allows a volume drop, unity gain, or even a slight boost
to the overall volume when the pedal is engaged. The SPEED knob does
not allow for a super fast rate, but I don't need that anyway, and I
find the range of this knob to be very usable.
