MXR M-102 DYNA COMP.

The Dyna Comp is a compressor that lets you set a maximum output level and the sensitivity at which it kicks in. This device can produce that percussive, clicky sound on a clean guitar that you've heard on so many pop hits. It can also even out the volume of sustained tones for mellow lead work.

Power:
- Single 9-volt battery or Dunlop ECB-003 AC Adapter

Controls:
- Footswitch toggles effect on/bypass (red LED indicates on)
- Output knob sets compressed (attenuated) output level
- Sensitivity knob sets compression ratio (highest sensitivity is maximum compression)

I bought this cause a friend of mine has one and it sounds freaking awesome through his set up. The compression kicks in quite strongly and noticeably so you don't even have to turn up the sensitivity very high before you get a nice evened-out, warmer and smoother tone.

AWESOME! Gives me the clicky clean sound and also creamy sustain when the distortion kicks in. With this pedal, distortion, and the I can get violin-like lead lines. And for soloing, the sustain can't be beat.

An excellent pedal for the money. I'd dare to say it's the best compressor on the market (unless you're some tone/pedal snob). I don't need the best of the best. I need what works. And this pedal does exactly what I need it to, and doesn't take too much time to figure out.

I love the way it makes my sound soooo much thicker when  use distortion. It is also very good for string balance problems when fingerpicking. I hardly ever use it at extreme settings find it best when settings are set in low moderation.
