GUYATONE MD-3 MICRO DIGITAL DELAY.
The best digital delay just got better. The reviews printed in
Guitar Player, Guitar World, and Guitar One all praised the performance
and tonal superiorty of the MD-2 Micro Digital Delay. Never satisfied
with anything less than perfection, the Guyatone engineers set out to
improve upon this masterpiece. The result: the MD-3 Micro Digital
Delay.
Just what is so great about the MD-3? Quite simply, it
offers the most authentic note reproduction of any delay device
available, period. Notes come back exactly as you played them: Not
rounder, harsher, warmer, colder, or altered in any manner whatsoever.
If
you've ever played a tape echo, you know that their tone is not dark
sounding like some people claim, but actually quite bright and clear.
The MD-3 gives the user the crispness and clarity of a tape echo
combined with the longer delay time of a digital, while its controls
react like an analog unit. 30-2600 milliseconds of delay time are
available, more than enough to create an entire range of classic delay
effects from Rockabilly slapback to Arena-rock washes of excess and
everything in between. At higher Feedback settings (above 3 o'clock)
the MD-3 will self-oscillate like an analog delay, creating cacophonous
cascades of repeats, UFO-landings, ray guns, and other bizarre sound
effects. At lower Feedback settings (around 2 o'clock) the MD-3 can be
used for multi-layering of short parts, creating beautiful, ethereal
soundscapes that slowly fade into infinity. In addition, the MD-3 has a
lower current draw than other digital units, which means you'll spend
less time changing batteries and more time playing!
Quite possibly the smallest delay, unarguably the best: Try the MD-3 and discover what perfection is all about!

Wow. This is what I always hoped the Boss delays would sound like. By
far the best floor unit delay I've ever played. It does exaclty what it
claims: reproduces the exact sound that goes in. The delays come back
sounding clear and beautiful, not colored in any way (many delays make
the repeats sound metalic and cold). It doesn't sound like an analog
delay at all though, it just ends up sounding warm because of the fact
that it reproduces your notes perfectly and cleanly. Highly recommended.

Sounds awesome. The ability to get the unit to roll over and feedback
on itself is great. You can get the whole range of raygun and UFO
effects out of it with some artful tweaking. This is simply one of the
best digital delay units Ive used.

This thing is a kick ass little unit, the price is right, the sound is
right. Theres a lot packed into it. Been playing over 20+ years with
many delays ...analogue, digital, and the odd tape unit. I would buy
another one of these in a heartbeat if I needed to.

Sounds great, no complaints there. What you put in is what you get
out.. no coloration to speak of, which is nice. I also like that you
can get that whole regenerating feedback thing, great feature.

Incredible value for the money. Reminds me of rack delays it is so
clean. In fact, I think of it as the perfect compromise between an
analog delay (in the fact that it isn't very harsh and cold) and a good
digital delay (doesn't muddy up or incorporate a lot of IC noise).
