GREER AMPLIFICATION UNDERDOG 15. The Underdog 15 (rated conservatively at 15 watts) is Greer's current production of the classic and one of the most sought after circuits, the 5E3 circuit. This amplifier is housed in a fingerjointed pine cabinet covered in tweed that has been lacquered. The amplifier uses two 6V6 power tubes and 2 12AX7 preamp tubes (a 12AY7 can be substitued into the first preamp position for cleaner headroom) and a 5Y3GT tube rectifier. When the back panel is removed it is easy to see the attention to detail that goes into every one of these modern day classics.

GREER AMPLIFICATION UNDERDOG 15 MOD 1. A louder, higher gain version of the UD15. It even has more cleans. The UD15 Mod-1 is based on the same circuit as the Underdog 15 but with an evil twist. Nick has worked for hours to come up with a modification that will take the old 5E3 style circuit to the next level and he has finally acheived it. This circuit provides the same tube warmth as the Underdog 15 but gives an extra kick--moving the UD15 Mod-1 into more of a harder distortion area as well as giving the player higher, more giggable volume. The Mod-1 112 combo comes standard with a Celestion G12H30 speaker and a kick in the pants for a mixture of both American and British sounds, go from 50's rock and blues sounds to the sounds of the 60's and 70's Brit rock bands with the same combo. This amp is a work horse.

GREER AMPLIFICATION MARAUDER. The Marauder (rated at 35 watts) is our latest design, combining a tweed style preamp with a strong, formidable clean power section. This amplifier uses one 5AR4 rectifier, two 6L6 power tubes, and two 12AX7 preamp tubes. This amplifier runs in fixed bias operation and is hand wired, point to point on a terminal board. This powerful amplifier features a hi-gain and low-gain input per channel (there is a normal and a bright channel). The low-gain channel does nothing but clean and has a lower volume output than the hi-gain. The hi-gain channel distorts very nicely and has great tone for blues, pop, and rock players. There is a common tone control that is shared by both channels. This amplifier sounds best in larger speaker combos such as 212 combos.
